Because many of our family and friends are unable to attend our wedding, we are hosting a cultural celebration of love, marriage, and community so we can honor our union together in a way that reflects the Velasco's Filipino roots.
This is not a wedding ceremony, but will be a joyful gathering centered on gratitude, family, tradition, and togetherness.
Our Journey Begins
Like many classical love stories from television, Teonette and Mike’s relationship began humbly on Tinder.
During their first date at Coffee Bar 1010, it became clear how their love would grow when Teonette forgot Mike’s name. Thankfully he shares the same name as 85% of her exes so things smoothed over nicely.
What began with curiosity and caution grew into trust, laughter, and a deep partnership. Against all odds, better judgment, and so many warning signs, Teonette and Mike found their person and something real grew out of all this. Through shared adventures, trips, and quiet nights in, their experiences together continued to bring them closer.
Over the course of their relationship, Mike and Teonette have developed a strong bond based on shared values and mutual respect. With a solid foundation from which to grow, they have made the decision to take the oath of marriage and spend the rest of their lives together.
